Striking a Balance
How do we strike a balance between 'being with what it is' and 'focusing on what we want'? The Law of Attraction tells us to focus on what we want; to generate the feelings of already having it; that we can always shift to a higher vibration. But sometimes, when we focus on and visualize what we want, negativity creeps in. We might even decide we are no good at this positive manifestation stuff. Perhaps, when you visualize a happy relationship, you feel the pain of not having it. Or, when you visualize your healthy body, you feel aches and pains. Or, when you envision your prosperity, you find yourself fearful about your current finances. How can you stay focused on the positive?
Core Energetics tells us, if we deny negativity, it still holds the power to create. If we allow and observe the negativity, express its feelings, without clinging to it; it loses its grip on us. We are then free again to focus on the positive we want to create.
Try this exercise:
1) Create a vision in your mind of what you want to manifest in your life.
2) Feel all the positive feelings of already having it.
3) Be aware of any negative statements underneath, as you keep holding your positive vision.
4) Acknowledge the part that is saying, "it will never happen" or any other negative statement.
5) Consider how it has served you in the past to believe in this lack.
6) Honor this old belief with gratitiude for how it may have served you.
7) Move the (held) energy of the negative statements. (If you get stuck here, bring it to your next Core session and move it with your practitioner.)
8) Feel the flow of the freed up creative energy; feel the change in your vibration.
9) Return to your positive vision for as long as you can; it should be easier to hold this vision, now.
10) List what you are grateful for right now.
11) Release your vison, trusting the universe to rearrange itself to bring you the desires of your heart.
12) Choose to believe you deserve it.
